School Activities

The Green School Committee are very proud that we have reached another level of the Green Schools Programme.

Our new theme is Water.

we will be working hard to find some new ideas on how to conserve water and why find out how water is important.

3rd and 4th class went to visit the filter beds in Roundwood Reservoir on Thursday 17th February.

Here are some photos of their trip.

They learned how water from Vartry River is filtered and cleaned and piped to Dublin and Wicklow.

Moneystown National School have been collecting mobile phones for the Jack and Kill foundation for a number of years.

This year we are collecting mobile phones again but we are hoping to collect enough to get a defribulator for the school which will benefit the whole community.

Please donate all your old mobile phones to the marked boxes by our Green Schools Notice Board.

We had a great result with the collection of bikes for Africa, the Landscaping Association of Ireland were delighted with the collection of old bikes and these will help lots of children in villages in Africa.
