Well done to our 2nd class pupils who received their First Holy Communion in May.
Well done to our budding Scientists in 3rd and 4th who were awarded A Science and Maths Excellence Award from Discover Primary Science last week.

Congrats and well done to one of our pupils who was awarded second place in the All Ireland Community Games for singing.
Children from 3rd to 6th went on their school tour to the Crystal Maze in Meath on Tuesday 24th May.

The Midlands Theatre Group visited the school.
They performed a play based on the Russian Folktale about a Bluebird.
Everyone enjoyed the show.
3rd and 4th class held a Science Day on 7th April which was a great success.
They also had the Premiere of their Science Video.
Well done to 3rd and 4th class for their hard work.
There was a cake Sale on the 1st April to help raise funds for the school.
3rd and 4th class made some lovely treats for the Cake Sale.

Bicycles for Africa
The Green Schools Committee would like to thank everyone for their great support for this cause.
Children from 3rd and 4th visited the filter beds in Roundwood Reservoir on Thursday 17th February.

Well done to all those who took part in the recycled Christmas Decoration Competition.
Congratulations to Safiq Murray who won best overall in the school and also won a prize from the Murrough Recycling Centre.
The Dental Nurse visited children from 3rd to 6th class last Thursday 18th November. She spoke to them about caring for their teeth.
Children from 4th to 6th participated in Gaelic Football Blitzs recently.
Well done to the teams and their teachers Mr. McGillycuddy and Ms. Mannix.
Children from 4th to 6th also participated in Cross Country running in Avondale in October.
Well done to all ou medal winners and also to all our participants who all finished their race.

A special visitor came to our school in early Spetember. We had a visit from the Blackrock Castle Observatory in Cork who brought their planetarium to teach us all about the stars, planets and space.
3rd and 4th visited Glendalough for National Tree Day on Thursday 7th October.
They had great fun loking for bugs in a scavenger hunt and learning about different trees in the Treasure Hunt.
