Well done to all our Scientists in 3rd and 4th who were awarded a Science and Maths Excellence Award from Discover Primary Science, this is the 6th award for the school.
















Our budding Scientists in 3rd and 4th class have been working on a Science Video for the Discover Primary Science Project.
The premiere of their DVD was on Thursday 7th April.













5th and 6th class learned all about bridges and made some bridges out of K'Nex.
Here are some other things they made from K'Nex too.
1st and 2nd learned all about the different joints in thier bodies.







We investigated how toy cars travel on different surfaces.
We used ramps of different materials and recorded how far the toy car travelled.
5th and 6th class had great fun testing out forces.
Here they are with the resistance parachute.


Science Week was held in Moneystown School last week 8th to 12th November.
Here are some of the different activities that we did.




3rd and 4th class have been working on some Electricity experients.
They have learned how to create different circuits and also a switch.
They also learned what a conductor of electricity is.










We took a magnet walk around our school.
Look at all the magnetic things we found.
We found out that magnets can work through different objects.
Look at our magnetic chip champion competition.







3rd and 4th class were testing the strength of magnets.
We tested lots of different magnets using a ball magnet and a ruler.

3rd and 4th took advantage of the cold weather to test out the snowman experiment.
We made 2 snowmen and added a coat to one to see which one would melt first.
