What do plants need to grow?

3rd and 4th are trying to find out.

We are growing plants in diffferent conditions, no air, no soil, no water.

Children from 3rd to 6th class are taking part in the Incredible edibles this year.

They are growing spinach, baby carrots, lettuce, potatoes and strawberries.

We tested paper to see how strong it was.

We used tissue paper, sugar paper, card and hand towels, yogurt cartons, and marbles.

The card was the strongest paper.
The tissue paper was the weakest paper.

The experiment was fun and exciting.
Rang 3 and rang 4

Heat and insulation,

We worked on some experiments to measure heat and on how we can keep the heat in.

We made a rainbow spinner. When it spun on the string it almost turned into white light.

We made a diver in a large plastic bottle.

when you squeeze the bottle the diver sinks.

3rd and 4th class had a visit from Rathdrum Fire Brigade.

They learned all about Fire Safety at home.
